Pyrenees / France

During the summer 2022, after descending along the west coast of France (Île de Ré, Dune du pyla, Hossegor) , we went with a friend who also awns a Lada Niva for a roadtrip in the Pyrenees!

This is the first time I went to the Pyrenees and I need to say I can’t wait to go back!

The first place we went to camp was near Lescun. After climbing a steep mountain road, we arrived in a nice little meadow surrounded by mountain tops where we decides to set for camp.

After hours on the road the following day, we arrived right on time at a stunning spot, greeted by a breathtaking sunset at 2000 meters.

It was just wonderful…

And let me tell you, the wake-up call… wasn’t exactly serene 😂

The next day, we set off again, and we ended up on a paraglider launching spot, at the top of a mountain with an absolutely stunning sunset, surrounded by ever-beautiful landscapes and an incredible weather!

And another absolutely stunning sunset graced our journey, a memory we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

And here we are, on the road again. Looking for a nice spot…

And pausing by tranquil mountain streams to refresh ourselves amidst sweltering 40-degree heat.

We found a nice spot.

On our way back from the Pyrenees to Belgium, we stumbled upon a delightful spot nestled within the Natural Parc of de Causses.

It was the final stretch before heading home, a short stop amidst wind turbines and picturesque fields.

Of course, we couldn’t possibly pass up a visit to Épernay, where a glass of champagne awaited us, the perfect way to toast the end of this incredible adventure…
